Fiber Comb Control

Installation informations

  • Install first NI-drivers and LabView
  • Version Fiber Comb Control: v0.4.14
  • after installation put following config files in (if they were not installed automatically)…\FiberComb\etc:
    1. beatcontrol
    2. fibercomb - Copy.setup
    3. fibercomb.setup
    4. fibercomb.setup.generic-0.4.14
    5. fibercomb2 -Copy.setup
    6. fibercomb2.setup
  • Change COM port under device manager to COM 1

Usage informations

First start FiberLaser for better autotuning and afterwards Fiber Comb Control for controlling Repetition Rate Stepper Motor and CEO Tuner
  • Start fiber comb control without and after fiber laser program!
  • To optimize CEO-frequency:
    1. “play” with the arrows in P-Control Laser
  • To optimize a small Rep-error-signal:
    1. Move in steps Forward/Backward in Repitition Rate Control
  • In Lockbox Rep Rate is locked disabled (red), because it is not connected to the menlosystem electronics.

possible errors:

  • If the programm doesn´t start: Maybe COM Port wrong (should be COM1 in device manager)!
    1. Start NI Device Monitor;
    2. if NI card (PCI 6221) is not available: Maybe a Re-Install of NIDAQ helps (in the software/comb folder): enables PCI-6221 card
